The only sub-continent nations which is not part of the hosting of this year's World Cup, Pakistan is opening their World Cup campaign against the minnows Kenya, in Hambantota Sri Lanka.
Pakistan was originally a host nation for the event, but security concerns in the country triggered the ICC to move all the matches earlier scheduled there, to Sri Lanka and India. Pakistan will play all their group stage matches in Sri Lanka, where the team is regarded as "second only to home team" when it comes to crowd cheer.
The match is scheduled to start at 2.30pm local time.
