Cricket World Cup 2011 Mascot is Named 'Stumpy'

The mascot for the Cricket World Cup 2011 was unveiled some months ago, but the organizers delayed the naming of the mascot of ICC Cricket World cup for several months. During the 2nd test cricket match between Sri Lanka and India, at Colombo they unveiled the name of the Cricket World Cup 2001 mascot’s name. Eventually the mascot is named “Stumpy”

Stumpy was revealed on 3rd August 2010, after the International Cricket Council ran an online competition, inviting the public to come up with a name for the cricket world cup 2011 mascot.
