Law to take over as Bangladesh coach

Bangladesh have announced that Stuart Law will be their next coach, succeeding Jamie Siddons, whose contract wasn't renewed after the World Cup. Law, currently Sri Lanka's interim coach, will quit that position after the five-match ODI series against England and will join the Bangladesh team in mid-July in Dhaka, prior to their tour of Zimbabwe.
"Stuart Law was far ahead on our shortlist for a new coach. He has been appointed the head coach of the Bangladesh national cricket team for two years starting from July 1," Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) spokesman Jalal Yunus told AFP. "It's not only his experience as a coach - his strong leadership abilities were a factor in our decision to make him head coach."

India Vs Pakistan in Cricket World Cup 2011 Semifinal

Yuvraj's innings the other night in Ahmadadabad  paved the way for what could be the most cracking match of this Cricket World Cup 2011 so far, India Vs Pakistan in the semi finals. We all know any match can go up to the wire when India play against Pakistan. The political rivalry between the two countries, adds fire to the fuel whereas political leaders both in India and Pakistan will want them to win the semifinal match and even to lose final against whoever the opposition.

Every time a Pakistan Vs India match played in a World Cup, India had the better advantage. India has managed to win almost all the important World Cup matches against Pakistan. The all important quarterfinal match in 1996 is a prime example of how crucial a Pakistan Vs India match can be in a World Cup.

India Vs Australia - The Best Match in Quarterfinals

So all the cricket fans were excited about the knock out stages in wc 2011. there is no doubt that among all other quarter finals the one match which is unpredictable will be ind vs aus .In other three matches Pak,Sl,Sa have a good chance of winning against Wi,Eng,Nz. but when it comes to ind vs aus its still big a suspense that who is gonna beat whom? let us take close look at this match.
India vs australia has always been an intresting contest. in last three or four years the rivalary between the teams has developed and now-a-days the expectation for ind vs aus has been similar to ind vs pak or aus vs sa .Coming to world cup 2011 India started as favourites and now they are still in the favourites list but their bowling let them down right from the begining of the tournament.on the other side batting is india's strength and india has the most powerful batting line up than any other team in the tournament.coming to australia this is the weakest aussies team in last decade.apart from winning five games australia lost to pakisthan in last group match.it ended australia's 31 win in a row in world cups.in rest of the matches that australia won in group stages were not one sided games australia were sloppy in either batting or bowling in a match.

India Will Face Australia in the Quarterfinals of Cricket World Cup 2011

Oh West Indies, they have done it again. For the second match in a row now, they had a chase all wrapped up, but in the face of some desperate inspiration from Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh, and some mindless cricket from the batsmen that followed Devon Smith, it was made sure that West Indies remained without a win over a Test side other than Bangladesh since June 2009. With Smith playing as well as he has ever played, West Indies almost mocked India for the first 27 overs, getting up to 146 for 2 without a care in the world. Then came a maiden by Harbhajan and a wicked Zaheer slower ball to remove Smith, and West Indies lost the last eight wickets for 34.

India Vs West Indies - World Cup 2011 Match Preview

No wonder India play so much cricket without seeming to overly mind it. When MS Dhoni walks out for the toss for this game, it will have been more than a week since they last played in the World Cup. The off days for the Indian team, however, have been days of plenty of buzz and activity for the Indian cricketing public and media. Dhoni has suddenly gone from being Midas to moron for getting Ashish Nehra to bowl the final over; Yusuf Pathan is no longer a good choice to bat in batting Powerplay; heated meetings between selectors, board secretary and captain have been reported and denied ; the moon's proximity to the earth has had its say; the next coach has become a topic of discussion; UDRS blunders and Sachin Tendulkar's impending 100th hundred have been overshadowed; everything that can be debated, even those that cannot be, have been debated.
